HALO uses sheets of acid free archival paper between front and back covers then seals the book in a mylar patented closure bag which is then placed in a Perspex case and sealed. Each HALO certified book has an information section containing the book grade, details and a unique serial number to identify it which can be checked at their office, grading notes are also available on request.

 

Grant On the Process:

 

"Each comic is graded by 3 professional graders, new issues are done by 2 senior graders, I have 12 professional graders on call, my untouchables. They never know whose books they grade, the grading is accurate and consistent. We use the Overstreet grading guide as our manual with no exceptions or variations."
